Last year was a biggie for smartwatch makers but particularly so for cheap fake TAG Heuer, which cemented its status as the premier Swiss maker of tech-empowered timepieces with its latest Connected device. Not content to rest on those laurels, the storied Swiss marque is further fine-tuning its digitised offering with a new Wellness app to make the Connected a more holistic exercise proposition.
A companion piece to the Connected’s existing Sport app for running, cycling and the like, this new Wellness download has been designed for an easy heads-up against your fitness goals. Its accompanying watch face will show your daily step count, exercise intensity, heart rate and calories burned. Or in other words, all the good stuff you’d expect in at-a-glance form. Elsewhere, a new section in the TAG Heuer Connected app allows you to keep tabs on this data over a longer timeframe, set targets of your own and ultimately track your progress towards (or like us in lockdown, away) from Adonis status. It’s a welcome addition to the Swiss made copy TAG Heuer Connected experience and one that brings the watch further in line its Silicon Valley-made brethren.
“Within a timeframe of a year, the best 1:1 replica TAG Heuer Connected has established its status in elegance and sports,” explains TAG Heuer CEO Frédéric Arnault. “In addition to elegance and performance, our users also expressed a strong interest for tracking their wellness. We value their input; we know how important it is to remain active these days. And we created the TAG Heuer Connected Wellness app for them.”
Additionally those folks who are desperate to get back on the links with a clone TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition in tow (£2,100) will find their special edition smartwatch has a couple of new tricks to its name. To wit: improved 2D & 3D mapping, a club recommendation tool and enhanced scoring to keep better track of your hard-earned birdies. The new mapping should be especially useful for those looking to explore a new green or two when Covid-related restrictions lift later this month thanks to improved on-watch visuals and a big upgrade to textures and assets on your smartphone.
Of course, these new features aren’t high-end replica TAG Heuer’s only sports-related news for 2021. Earlier this month saw the unveiling of its latest Formula 1 Special Edition watch: its first online exclusive, no less.
