Zenith replica has embraced the avid and growing community of vintage-watch aficionados in recent years, releasing several contemporary re-editions based on its earliest El Primero models from 1969. The new Chronomaster Revival Liberty, a 150-piece limited edition exclusively for North America, riffs on one of the most popular of those retro-style timepieces, the A384 Revival, while adding a colorful and patriotic twist for its home market.
The original A384 from 1969 was the first Swiss movement fake Zenith watch to be equipped with the now-famous El Primero chronograph movement, and its 37-mm, angular tonneau case in stainless steel has been faithfully replicated in the Chronomaster Revival Liberty, using original blueprints and production plans from over 50 years ago.
The domed sapphire crystal and sapphire exhibition back of Zenith replica watch with stainless steel case — revealing the automatic, high-frequency El Primero movement, with a power reserve of 50 hours — are the only case elements not found on the vintage watch.
The vibrant red, white, and blue color combination on the Chronomaster Revival Liberty is new but could just as easily have graced an El Primero watch in 1969. The main dial, surrounded by a tachymeter scale, is matte blue, with a “vignetting” gradient effect, accented with white chronograph counters for a strong contrast. Most notably differentiating this model from others is the central chronograph second hand, which is painted with red and white stripes, and the red numerals on the white date display at 4:30. Completing the ensemble is a leather and cordura-effect blue rubber strap, finished with a single red stitch on each side.
The blue leather and rubber strap copy Zenith Chronomaster Revival Liberty, a limited edition of 150 pieces sold exclusively in North America, retails for $8,700.
